 After
years of dreaming about owning a small needlepoint boutique, the opportunity
unexpectedly presented itself in 2002. Lori Hennessy had recently launched
her own Corporate Etiquette and Protocol Consultant Company, when she discovered
that In Stitches was (quietly) for sale. Although the timing wasn't ideal,
she jumped right in and has never looked back. She is committed to bringing
beautiful and unique handpainted needlepoint canvases to In Stitches, and
offering the best customer service that she possibly can. The "gals" at
In Stitches (Deirdre, Janet, Gayle, Ann, and Mary-Anne) have many years
of needlepoint experience and each brings with them a special talent and
unique style to In Stitches. They have all formed wonderful relationships
with our customers and love welcoming new stitchers into the store.
Prior to In Stitches, Lori earned the designation as one of the nation's most qualified meeting planners by earning her Certified Meeting Planner certification in 1993. Her professional experience includes the Electric Power Research Institute, the American Electronics Association, and the Color Marketing Group. Lori has worked and lived throughout the United States and Europe, and is a frequent traveler to Africa. Lori is trained and certified by the Protocol School of Washington and the London Image Institute, and continues to offer her Corporate Etiquette services to businesses, universities, and private clients throughout Oregon. She is a graduate of San Jose State University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
