In Stitches offers a variety of classes and seminars throughout the year.

In Stitches offers ongoing classes taught by Sarah Homfray, a graduate of the Royal School of Needlework in London. Sarah typically comes to Portland every-other-year and teaches two-weeks' of intensive classes. For those of you who have attended the RSN, you know how special this is. For those of you who haven’t attended our annual trip, this is a wonderful opportunity for you to experience classes taught by a graduate of the RSN.

All levels of stitchers are welcome and the classes can be adapted to your individual stitching level.

Beginning Class: This class will provide you with the basic techniques to start a needlepoint project. You will learn the basketweave stitch, every-other-row basketweave, Scotch stitch, French knots, mosaic stitch, and the vertical brick stitch. The cost includes the hand-painted canvas, fibers, and instruction. Cost: $90.00. Class size is 8 maximum, and is generally offered monthly.
